Hard Math Problem series - 1 (Limits) (1 to 5)

This is the first article of the series "Hard Math Problems series - 1". It will be a series of 8 articles long, so do make sure you read each one and try them out!

Also I will be solving these as I read them, make sure to let me know if there is any mistake!

We have to find when the given function is continuous. That is the limit of the function.

Firstly, if we have to find continuity. For continuity LHL = RHL.

Let us find the solution for the first problem:

Also to find a limit a infinity:

Take the highest power common in numerator and denominator.

1/x terms turn 0 as 1/(infinity) is 0

Thus a simple way is the ratio of the leading coefficient of numerator to denominator.

Qns done below are - a,b,c,d and r, You can do the rest yourself!

Happy Practising!

Hope you got them right!

Thank you!
